**CLOSED** Pillsbury “My Sweet Sunday Moment” prize pack giveaway

I love cinnamon rolls.  I think everyone knows that as I have an obvious obsession with making my own cinnamon rolls for special occassions.  However, it's a lot of work and I just can't do that on a daily basis.  So, when the need arises for cinnamon rolls, I often buy Pillsbury cinnamon rolls.  I have several cans in my refrigerator right now.  They're quick and easy and hit the spot.  I can remember getting them as a special treat when I was little - scooping the icing out of the can onto my hot cinnamon roll!  Yum.  Brett loves them as well - I think he asks every morning if he can have them for breakfast (he did this morning!).

"In an effort to recapture Sunday mornings as the ideal occasion to reconnect with family and loved ones, Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls is teaming up with Melissa Joan Hart, star of the new ABC Family sitcom “Melissa & Joey,” for the My Sweet Sunday Moment contest, where you and your family have a chance to win a seven-day “week of Sundays” vacation to California, including a visit to area theme parks and Melissa Joan Hart’s sweet shop, SweetHarts! Enter today by visiting Pillsbury.com/SweetSunday and telling Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls why your family loves Sunday and why you want more of them for a chance to win."

For today's giveaway Pillsbury and MyBlogSpark are giving to one of my lucky readers the following: a Pillsbury “My Sweet Sunday Moment” prize pack which includes a Pillsbury Doughboy Giggle Doll, blue silicon spatula, blue silicon pot holder and dishcloths.  I received one and I love it!  Claire squealed with excitement when she saw the Pillsbury Doughboy doll (I kinda did too - brings back such good memories).  And I LOVE the spatula, pot holder and dishcloths!

Here's how to enter:

Entry #1 - Leave a comment telling me what Sunday traditions your family has (or had growing up - like when I was young every Sunday morning my parents cooked a BIG breakfast after church).

Entry #2 - Visit Pillsbury on Facebook or Pillsbury on Twitter and “Like” or “Follow” for contest news and great tips, recipes and more from Melissa Joan Hart.  Then come back and leave a comment telling me you did so.

Entry #3 -  Enter the Pillsbury.com/SweetSunday contest.  Then come back and tell me you did and why your family loves Sundays and wants more of them.

Entry #4 - Like MyBlogSpark on Facebook then come back and tell me you did.  If you already do, just leave me a comment telling me you do.

This contest will remain open for 2 days – until August 31st at 10:00 p.m CST. Any comments made after that will not be counted and a winner will be chosen. Said winner will be notified via e-mail and will need to respond by September 1st at NOON CST with his/her shipping information. Good luck!

I received the same prize package from Pillsbury, through My Blog Spark. The opinions contained within this post are mine and were not in any way influenced by My Blog Spark nor Pillsbury.

***CLOSED*** Yoplait Go-Gurt "Keeping Cool in School" gift pack giveaway contest!

I am so excited to share with you my first contest! Check back often for more contests and giveaways!

Today I am giving away a Yoplait "Keeping Cool in School" prize pack that includes an insulated lunch tote, mini water bottle, sandwich keeper, cool breeze pen fan, and some fun school supplies for the new school year.

I hae bought Yoplait for years. When Brett was little a friend told me to freeze my Go-Gurts to make a healthy popsicle for him. I tried it and he loved it! Then about a year ago I remember seeing something about sticking them in your kids' lunchbox frozen to be ready for lunchtime - bingo! Great idea. Needless to say, Yoplait Go-Gurts are a great option for kids' lunches. And with school starting SOON, this is a great healthy snack that I'll be packing in Brett and Claire's lunchboxes. According to Yoplait:

"There is no ice pack needed - Go-Gurt is specially made to freeze and thaw, keeping the yogurt, and the rest of lunch, cool until lunch time.

With Go-Gurt yogurt in your child's lunch box, you can feel confident that there will be no snack trading at lunch time since Go-Gurt has a taste and texture that kids love! Moms can feel good about packing Go-Gurt each morning since each portable tube contains a good source of calcium and vitamin D, providing a wholesome addition to a well-balanced lunch. Available in a variety of cool, fun flavors like Strawberry Splash and Chill-Out Cherry, Go-Gurt will quickly become a refreshing classroom favorite."

If you would like to win a prize pack please leave a comment on this blog. You can enter up to three times:
  • Entry #1 - Tell me either your child's favorite Go-Gurt flavor OR share a back to school lunch time tip with me (I need all the help I can get!). Leave a comment with your tip.
  • Entry #2 - "Like" MyBlogSpark on Facebook, then come back and leave a comment telling me you did.
  • Entry #3 - "Like" Yoplait on Facebook and/or Twitter, then come back and leave a comment telling me you did.
This contest will close at 11:59pm on Sunday, August 22nd. Any comments/entries made after then will not be counted. I will email the winner to get your address so Yopliat/MyBlogSpark can send you your prize pack.

As part of this giveaway, Yopliat provided me with a free product, information, and gift pack through MyBlogSpark.

Tips for Beginners from a Beginner

I've only been "couponing" for a few weeks now but I've already found so many great deals. My advice? Dedicate some time each day to this new "hobby". It may seem overwhelming at first but soon you'll find that it's really quite manageable and the feeling you get when you get something that's normally $4.00 for 50 cents is AMAZING! Don't rush out and buy everything you can at once. Take your time, plan, decide what you need and what you'll use. Use friends as a resource! I'm getting 6-8 sets of coupons from friends who get the Sunday paper but don't use their coupons. Also, USE THE INTERNET! There are so many great sites out there that will tell you about the deals so you don't have to do any research! But, also get familiar with your coupons and what you have. I've discovered that I could work a much better deal than what a website was telling me. And most importantly, have fun. If you're not having fun doing this you're going to be miserable and stop before it's even worth your while. Feel free to email me with any questions or leave comments. Good luck!

Starting a new blog

Ok, so I've decided to start a blog solely dedicated to couponing. I'm very excited about couponing and want to be able to share what I've found in a separate place. Although it's making me a bit crazy right now, I'm really loving it and being able to find great deals and save a lot of money. I keep telling people, we'll see how long this lasts! But for now, I'm doing my best to save money. My husband likes it because I'm getting some yummy things for him to eat!
